Instructors and Facilitators

Tim Pflieger, the founder and president of the Team Leadership Center, is an experienced trainer, facilitator and keynote speaker who has been inspiring corporate groups, professional and amateur sports teams, youth groups and others for over a decade.  He as served as a training and organizational development resource for organizations large and small.  Tim has an innate gift in understanding what makes people tick and how to encourage individuals and groups to move beyond their comfort zones in order to maximize their potential.  His style is animated and dynamic.  Groups value his interactive approach and come away energized with new ideas to incorporate into their lives.

Tim earned his Master of Science in Education, while working in higher education, directing college programming and leadership development.  He is a certified high ropes and coastal sea kayak instructor.  In addition to his work at the Team Leadership Center, he serves as an adjunct faculty instructor at NWTC.  In his free time, he is a volunteer first responder, NREMT and provides training in high angle rescue, multi-terrain rescue, and rescue team dynamics.

Moira Farrell is a seasonal full-time certified high and low ropes instructor. She returns this year as Summer Intern and is responsible for our Family Fun Wednesdays and Saturdays program, kayak instruction, program mangement and facilities operations.

Jessica Farley is a part-time certified high and low ropes.  Over the years Jesse has led groups in many unique settings, backpacking and trekking, on the water, in the mountains and in conventional classrooms and convention centers.  In addition to her work at the Team Leadership Center, Jesse has a passion for preparing gourmet meals, in her free time you may find her filling in as a guest chef in restaurants around the Door Peninsula.

Kayaking Adventures Instructors

Sue Nutty -Bringing over eleven years of kayak teaching experience, she has earned instructor certifications from the American Canoe Association (ACA) and the British Canoe Union (BCU). In addition, she also has an adapted paddling instructor endorsement from the ACA. Sue has guided multi-day trips and taught extensively (all ability levels) on Lake Superior as well as worked with groups on Lake Michigan, the Atlantic Ocean and many inland Wisconsin lakes. Her favorite place to paddle is the Apostle Islands in northern Wisconsin!

Scott Gustafson -Avid outdoorsman is the new transporation director and kayak instructor for Kayaking Adventures Door County. 

Adventure Day Camp

Alicia Faivre

Alicia joins us this summer season as our lead teacher for our special needs day camp. She holds a Wisconsin teaching license in middle childhood to early adolescence focus. She is also a ropes course facilitator.
