Meet the TLC Team: 2012
Tim Pflieger, the founder and president of the Team Leadership Center, is an experienced trainer, facilitator and keynote speaker who has been inspiring corporate groups, professional and amateur sports teams, youth groups and others for over a decade. He as served as a training and organizational development resource for organizations large and small. Tim has an innate gift in understanding what makes people tick and how to encourage individuals and groups to move beyond their comfort zones in order to maximize their potential. His style is animated and dynamic. Groups value his interactive approach and come away energized with new ideas to incorporate into their lives.
Tim earned his Master of Science in Education, while working in higher education, directing college programming and leadership development. He is a certified high ropes and coastal sea kayak instructor. In addition to his work at the Team Leadership Center, he serves as an adjunct faculty instructor at NWTC. In his free time, he is a volunteer first responder, NREMT and provides training in high angle rescue, multi-terrain rescue, and rescue team dynamics.
Ropes Course Facilitators and Instructors
Moira Farrell is a TLC Program Coordinator and full-time certified high and low ropes instructor. She returns this year as the ropes course director and is responsible for our Adventure Zip Line Tour program, program management and facilities operations. This is her fourth year with the Team Leadership Center and is still LOVING IT!

Amy Smejkal, a long-time essential part of the TLC team, offers a tremendous range of skills and experiences. She primarily joins us in the summers facilitating programs as well as being a fun & informative zip line guide.

Sara Thierfelder is a Door County native who has spent her childhood immersed in consistent recreational activity, among which yoga, hiking, and stand-up paddleboarding are her favorites. In addition to formal training and certification, she can provide first-hand knowledge from her experiences with all the area has to offer. Sara is this years kayak director & will run the wellness department by leading classes in Zumba & Yoga.

Sam Peterson returns for a second year. She enjoys a variety of opportunities primarily as a a certified kayak guide & will soon be a certified ropes course facilitator and zip line guide. She brings a creative communications twist to the company as she enjoys videography and photography in her free time.
