Meet our Instructor/Facilitators
Team members provide instruction and facilitation roles for educational programs,corporate training, workshops, adventure trips and Kayaking Adventures of Door County. They come from varied background and work full-time full-time seasonal and paid-on-call. TLC’s current team members include:
Kayaking Adventure of Door County Instructors

Sue Nutty- Bringing over ten years of kayak teaching experience, she has earned instructor certifications from the American Canoe Association (ACA) and the British Canoe Union (BCU). In addition, she also has an adapted paddling instructor endorsement from the ACA. Sue has guided multi-day trips and taught extensively (all ability levels) on Lake Superior as well as worked with groups on Lake Michigan, the Atlantic Ocean and many inland Wisconsin lakes. Her favorite place to paddle is the Apostle Islands in northern Wisconsin!
Tim Pflieger- The founder of the Team Leadership Center, Inc. Began Kayaking Adventures of Door County in the summer of 1995. He has been the Program Coordinator for the past paddle seasons and is beginning his 15th year as an instructor and guide in Door County. Tim is a liscensed, Nationally Certified EMT, American Canoe Association Certified Coastal Sea Kayak Instructor, BOW Certified Instructor and Level II Ropes Rescue Technician. Join Tim on paddle and learn from a local expert!
