Team Building Programs

At TLC we recognize the connection between experience, learning and personal development. As participants are physically involved in the learning process they encounter a continual process of self-exploration as well as develop a better understanding of what it takes to become a true team. Our adventure-based curriculum encourages an increased understanding of personal and team potential, the need for positive communication and the importance of setting goals and developing strategies. Participants practice their newly developed skills throughout the program and discuss ways to transfer this knowledge into their offices, classrooms, relationships and athletic playing fields.

TLC’s Team Building Programs are based on Seven Functions of Collaboration:

  • Team Formation
  • Team Unity
  • Team Trust & Respect
  • Team Inventory of Resources
  • Team Standards
  • Team Purpose & Outcomes
  • Team Collaboration

What clients have said about TLC Team Building Programs…

Our students had a great time, and learned a lot about how much they are capable of if they believe that they CAN. I was proud of my students for the goals they set and how hard they worked to achieve those goals. The tools and messages you gave them will be very valuable to them in the future.” – Lori Peacock, School Counselor

Thanks again for your incredible patience and team attitude with our Algoma Career class last week. The kids were “Flying high” when we got back and enjoyed their experience greatly. You certainly do a fantastic job!!” – Gary Grahl, Algoma Elementary Counselor

My sixth grade students learned quickly, in an enjoyable, non-threatening atmosphere how necessary it is to listen to one another while individuals share ideas and solutions regarding specific problems. In addition, they discovered it was more fun to work with other people when tackling major tasks! Trust was developed as well as greater self-confidence. Students became aware that problems can be solved if one really focuses on what one is attempting to accomplish. The sixth graders returned to school equipped with leadership skills and with effective techniques to be good followers which were utilized in the days and weeks that followed.” – Sister Christine Wochos, St. Peter & Paul School

“The Team Leadership Center has done a wonderful job working with my fifth grade students.  The activities they plan for us show the students the importance of working collaboratively as a team.  The facilitators are knowledgeable and gear all of the activities according to the needs of our group.  I have a great working relationship with them and I will continue to bring my students to TLC for the sixth year in a row!” - Jody Delwiche, School Counselor, Luxemburg Casco Intermediate School
